Day 4: Sa Huynh to Quy Nhon
Miles: 82
Elevation gain: Some, not sure how much...
Headwind: Dunno
Weather: Oh so sunny!
Day 5: Quy Nhon Rest Day!
Day four arrived and Ryan's knee pain persisted. So, we took the bus! Sa Huynh is a really small town and it does not have a bus station. It also doesn't have a lot of people who know English and we don't know Vietnamese, but we were able to cobble together enough information to discern that you can stand on the side of the road and flag down the bus when it passes through town at around eight am.
So that's what we did. We even made a sign, just to be safe. We also had a small posse of locals hovering around us to make sure we got the correct bus. Before we knew it we were whisked away to our next stop, Quy Nhon, where we had planned to take a day of rest after what would have been a grueling ride.
Quy Nhon is a medium-sized, coastal town with a sprawling beach, and without a bustling tourist scene. We reserved a hotel with an ocean view, arrived before noon, and got to work relaxing, catching up on the real world, and icing Ryan's knee. This afternoon (Day 5) we visited the Long Khanh Pagoda, which is one of the few tourist(?) attractions. It was quite a sight! Otherwise, we just relaxed - we have 60 miles tomorrow!
